The Rheinische-Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn is considered to be one of Germany´s most important institutes of higher education. The University of Bonn includes 7 different faculties. More than 27.000 Students are being educated in all scientific areas.
The Work Group of Assistant Prof. Dr. Joachim Clemens, which is responsible for the Can Tho subproject belongs to the faculty of Agriculture Science, department of Crop Science and Resource Conservation. The Work Group of Dr. Joachim Clemens deals with all questions of waste management.
Research topics are:
- Decentralized Waste water treatment (Nutrient recycling and reuse)
- Emissions from biological waste treatments
The Work Group of Dr. Clemens is involved in several projects in
Vietnam (IWRM-Vietnam, SANSED and Wisdom) and has been cooperating with the
University of
Can Tho since the year 2002.
Role in the project
The department of Crop Science and Resource Conservation is responsible for the „local IWRM in Can Tho“ and is also involved in the Development of a Decision Support System for IWRM. People
