IAKS GMBH in Sonthofen, Germany is an interdisciplinary engineering consulting company providing an entire range of services for the urban water management of settlements. 

Since establishment of the company in 1998, IAKS has worked very successfully in the consultation, conception, planning and construction/supervision of the following projects:.

• wastewater treatment plants and sewage systems,
• simulation of treatment processes,
• drying and utilization of sewage sludge,
• decentralized wastewater disposal,
• rainwater management,
• sport sites,
• geoinformation systems,

• flood simulation and flood protection techniques

IAKS’ clients are municipalities, construction companies, wastewater utilities, industrial enterprises, and individuals. In addition, it has been involved for several years in numerous training projects for students at the University of Applied Sciences in the city of Augsburg and in adult-training measures, e.g. at the Bavarian Administration School.

IAKS’ involvement in the IWRM project in Vietnam focuses on improving water and wastewater management and introducing German know-how and technology by developing adapted wastewater techniques for these target areas.
