Moskito GIS GmbH
Moskito GIS GmbH, since 1997 located in Dortmund, Germany is a producer of a professional geographic information system (GIS).
The main product is a spatial related software which is called Moskito GIS. It gives people a tool for input, maintenance, analysing and presenting data with spatial relation. Moskito-GIS is very powerful in handling huge amounts of data coming from different sources, building complex object models, even by using different languages. Several technical applications are possible:
Moskito’s clients are electric utilities, consulting engineers, local authorities and municipalities as well as universities. Since 2001 Moskito GIS is active in Vietnam in cooperation with several universities and institutes.
Role in the project:
Moskito is involved in the IWRM- projects in Can Tho and Nam Dinh. At both locations Moskito is responsible for the development of a GIS for water monitoring, including a web-based information system, as well in training of local partners.
